13 YEAR OLD “LIL MOUSE” F**KED AROUND CAME UP

Remember the young voice you heard on Dedication 4, Lil Wayne’s mixtape, song titled “Get Smoked”…Well he’s back! Michael “Mouse” Myers aka Lil Mouse from Chicago, IL said it best he “Fucked Around And Came Up!” The 13 year old has released a video for the track which has an infectious beat and catchy hook but the question remains, is he too young to be rapping about sex, violence, and drugs. Rapper Lil Wayne has caught flack for endorsing the young rapper but if you recall Wayne lived a very similar life coming from the streets of New Orleans. When he first rapped for Baby his rhymes were filled with profanity and visions of the poverty he lived within. So why do we expect him to hold upcoming rappers to a different standard?

Rappers such as Chief Keef and Rockie Fresh have recently put the Chi on the map and not in the way that rappers Common and Kayne West previously have. Is this the direction that Hip Hop should be taking? It’s important to remember where you come from but there’s a thin line between sharing it and promoting it. What do you think, has the line been crossed? Is this just music…no message intended? This is Ms. Fnwrite suggesting that we not see Lil Wayne as a role model but for whom he is and that I’ll let you be the judge of.
